OBJECTIVES

1. To animate, educate, and organize village communities towards integral development, building up local leadership from among the people to empower them to be makers of their own destiny.

2.  To educate people of their self-worth and human dignity, needs and problems, duties and rights, and of their own local resources so as to empower them to decide their own destiny.

3.  To promote people’s participation at all stages of their own development to educate and encourage them to avail themselves of schemes and projects from Government departments.

4. To work in close collaboration with voluntary and governmental organizations and departments of people’s development, as such to initiate, animate, and coordinate all types of activities.

5. To promote social justice among the weaker sections of the society.

6. To train local leaders in order to mobilize village communities for development by organizing leadership motivation seminars, workshops and training courses.

7. To assist people to evolve their plan of action for development, to implement and evaluate the same as far as far as possible, their own human and local resources as well as to function as liaison between the people and the government departments to avail village communities of state and central government programmes and provisions.
